Number Bean Bags Summary
A colourful set of 20 number bean bags in a cotton bag.
Each bean bags has a number stitched onto one side and and the number written on the back. Odd and even numbers are in different colours too !
Ideas for use:
This a a great set for young children to start to identify numbers and to begin to be able to sequence them correctly. With very young children begin with bean bags 1-5 and then progress to using 1-10 as they grow in confidence.... all the way up to 20.
Use the bean bags when singing counting songs, such as 'ten green bottles', 'one man went to mow..' etc. Point to the number bean bag you are singing about and the child will begin to associate the number visually with the number being sung.
Ask the child to separate the red numbers and the blue numbers into 2 piles (sorting skills as very important in early maths!) and you can tell them about 'odd' and even' numbers. Line the bean bags up in sequence and show the child the pattern that the odd and even numbers make in the line - red, blue, red, blue and so on. This is an easy visual way for the child to see the patterns and begin to understand the concept of 'odd' and 'even'.
As the childs confidence grows you can start to count in 2's all the way to 20 . The blue colour stitching of the even number bean bags makes this easier.
Bean bag size : 7 x 7 cms
Age : 3 years +. Not suitable for under 3 years - small parts.
Washing Instructions: Hand wash at 30º and tumble dry on low setting.
